Will Paull
Tech Assistant
William was born in Vancouver where he got his start in the horse industry at Hastings Park Race Course. A graduate of Olds College, Will has a particular interest in rehabilitating dangerous or emotionally troubled horses. His other interests include boxing and theatre. Will currently resides in Airdrie, AB.
Sandy Gerencer
Tech Assistant
Sandy Gerencer started with Moore Equine in September 2005. Sandy is currently Moore’s Barn Manager and is in charge of our Laboratory and running our blood work. Along with many other duties, she assists in Radiology and Nuclear Scintigraphy
Abbey Aimer
Tech Assistant, Reproduction Manager
Abbey joined Moore Equine in 2013 and works alongside Dr. Berezowski as an ambulatory assistant. She also manages the reproduction department at the south clinic. In her spare time, Abbey enjoys hiking in the mountains, traveling and riding at any opportunity.
Clare Barnett
Tech Assistant
Clare was born and raised in Calgary. She attended Olds college where she completed her Veterinary assistant program in 2015. She started with Moore Equine as Dr. McDonald's assistant in 2018. In her spare time Clare likes to enjoy going out to the mountains and hiking with her dog, Rona.
Vicky Kruse
Tech Assistant
Vicky is one of our tech assistants. She started working here in 2011 as part of our barn staff team. Now she assists with MRI as well as helping out wherever she is needed around the clinic. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her own horse Hawk and going quading with her husband.
Chantelle Mackay
Tech Assistant
Chantelle joined Moore Equine in February 2022 and works alongside Dr. Erin Clarke as an ambulatory tech assistant. Chantelle was born and raised in Cochrane, where she became an English Show Jumper for 5 years and was introduced to the Veterinary Medicine world working at a small animal practice as a tech assistant. She has aspirations of becoming an Equine Veterinarian. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her golden retriever Chip, playing baseball and spending time in the mountains.
Maxine Newlove
Tech Assistant
Maxine joined Moore Equine in spring of 2022, working as an assistant for Dr. Lockhart. She is originally from Saskatchewan where she grew up training and riding in a variety of western disciplines. After going to school for Criminology and Veterinary Technician Assistant, she is now pursuing Veterinary Medicine and hopes to be an equine veterinarian. During her spare time she enjoys riding her mare Nova, fishing, hiking and camping in the mountains with her partner and their two rescue pitbull mixes, Chino and Biggie.
Hayley Cooper
Tech Assistant
Originally from small town Quebec, Hayley has always been fascinated by horses. Working at Moore Equine allows her to be surrounded by them every day. Her time off is usually spent exploring the beautiful province of Alberta, or spent in the saddle!
