Karmin George is a Saskatchewan farm girl who graduated from SIAST in 1993. She has been with Moore Equine since 2000 and her role has grown over the years. Karmin is currently in charge of the our facility’s pharmacy and inventory.

Kendra graduated from the Olds College AHT program in June 2010 and joined Moore Equine in May of 2012. Kendra works primarily in clinic, assisting with many aspects of the practice including general patient care, anesthesia, MRI, and is the primary Nuclear Scintigraphy technician. In her spare time Kendra finds great success showing her Spanish Norman gelding “Monty”.

Originally from Ontario, Sarah graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at the University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus in 2008. Growing up training hunter/jumpers has instilled a passion for the equine athlete. Following her completion of the program, Sarah continued to pursue a career in equine medicine and began working at the Ontario Veterinary College. There she developed skills in various departments such as large animal surgery, radiology, and equine neonatal ICU. She joined the Moore team in the Spring of 2013, working alongside Dr. Mike Scott. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys hanging out with her Norwegian Fjord gelding, “Ran”.

Gabrielle grew up in a small town in Northwestern Ontario where farming and horses were a part of her family’s lifestyle. She moved to Alberta in 2008 and completed her AHT diploma at Olds College in 2016. After graduating, Gabrielle finished her practicum with Moore Equine and began a full time position working alongside Dr. Greg Evans as an ambulatory technician. When not on the road, Gabrielle enjoys helping out in the surgical suite and performing anesthesia whenever she has the chance. In her downtime, Gabrielle enjoys staying active with her dog Jed, riding her horses Porsha and Leggs, and spending time on the farm with her family.

Jolinda is originally from South Africa and moved to Canada in 2008. She graduated from Lakeland College with diplomas in animal science as well as animal health technology in 2012. She spent 6 years in Lethbridge doing small animal emergency medicine but decided to follow her passion for horses and joined the Moore team in Sept 2018. She is working as Dr. Mattson’s technician. In her spare time she competes in show jumping with her horses Daisy and Gervantus.

Amanda was raised on a small farm west of Beiseker where horses were always a part of her life. She attended Olds College where she completed her Animal Health Technology program in 2010. After graduation, Amanda had the opportunity to travel to Australia where she worked at the Australian Zoo and Wildlife Hospital. She has worked in many areas of the veterinary industry including small and mixed animal and as a pharmaceutical rep. She joined the Moore Equine in 2016, working alongside Dr. Ashley Whitehead and Dr. Renaud Leguillette and now alongside Dr. Gillian Haanen. In 2021, after a yearlong delay due to Covid, Amanda completed all of the requirements and became the first technologist worldwide to achieve a Veterinary Technical Specialty in Equine Internal Medicine. When not at the clinic, you can find her barrel racing with her retired chuckwagon horse or competing in Cowboy Challenge with her QH gelding. She also can be found spending time with her family and 2 dogs at home or exploring the world.

Meghan came to Moore Equine in 2011 working as Dr. Rach’s Technician after graduating from the AHT program at Olds College in 2011.
After a few years she left to pursue further education at the University of Tennessee, completing a 2 year certificate in Equine Rehabilitation. She rejoined us in 2018 to work as Dr. Thompson-Shields’ technician, and together their primary interests are Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Meghan spends her spare time riding and with her family!

Rebecca originates from Kingston, Ontario where she graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at St. Lawrence College in 1999. She went on to complete the Equine Science: Equine Production and Breeding Management in 2001, and obtained her Veterinary Technician Specialty in Equine Nursing in 2013. Before coming to Moore Equine, Rebecca worked at OVC, WCVM, Massey University in New Zealand and the University of Queensland in Australia. She also worked 2 foal seasons at Rossdales Equine Hospital in the UK and 3 at Waikato Equine ICU in New Zealand as a foal ICU technician. She is an integral part of our hospital and anesthesia team.
When she manages to have some free time, she enjoys hiking our beautiful Country and travelling the world!

Megan graduated from Lakeland College in 2013. She spent 3.5 years at an equine surgical referral hospital near Edmonton, then 4 years at a sports medicine focused practice near Airdrie. Megan obtained her certification in equine rehabilitation through the University of Tennessee in 2019. With a keen interest in lameness, rehabilitation, and surgery, Megan joined the Moore team January 2021 to work alongside Dr. Fowlie.

Growing up in the Edmonton area, Bethany was constantly surrounded by animals, particularly horses. This naturally sparked a desire to work in the veterinary medicine field. She graduated from Olds College's AHT program in February 2021 and subsequently joined the Moore Equine team. After fulfilling the role of evening technician for a couple years, Bethany transitioned to work alongside Dr. Lambert in 2023. When not in clinic, you can find her at the barn with her one-eyed horse, Jimber, reading, or spending time with friends and family.

Cheyenne joined our technician team at Moore Equine in March of 2022 after graduating from Lakeland College in spring of 2021. Outside of the clinic she enjoys going to rodeos and barrel races with her horses Maui and Dory and her dog Dewy.

Erika is from Ontario, having graduated from the University of Guelph Ridgetown Veterinary Technology program in 2022. She completed her placement at Moore Equine in spring of 2022 before becoming Dr. Ashley Lamond’s full time technician. She has been involved in the equine community for a long time, having grown up riding Hunter/Jumper and always being around animals. In her free time she enjoys going on hikes with her dog, painting and spending time the gym.

Born and raised in Alberta, Emma graduated from Olds College in 2023 receiving an Animal Health Technologist Diploma. Although growing up with a primarily small animal background, she fell in love with working with horses during her time at Olds. Prior to graduation, Emma, completed her six-week practicum at Moore Equine, where she was later hired as a technologist. On her free time, Emma enjoys reading and spending time with her family, her dog, Sadie, and her cat, Julius.

Kaylee was born and raised in Lacombe, Alberta. From an early age she was riding and grooming in the sport and performance horse world. This gave her a special interest in lameness, sports medicine, and the equine athlete. This led her to pursue a career in Veterinary medicine.  Kaylee graduated from the VMR and Animal Health Technology program at Olds College in January 2023. After completing her practicum at Moore, she was hired on as a full-time technician. In her spare time Kaylee enjoys rodeoing and training barrel horses.

Graduating from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in the Spring of 2023, Paige completed her practicum placement at Moore Equine and after stayed on, joining the technician team. Prior to becoming an RVT, Paige attended the University of Calgary, where she obtained a BSc in Zoology. Paige grew up riding at a competitive hunter/jumper barn in the Calgary area that used Moore Equine as their vet care provider, sparking her interest in equine medicine. Passionate about all aspects of equine care, Paige’s primary interests include anesthesia and emergency care. When not in the clinic, Paige can be found hiking, in the gym, or spending time with her rescue kitten Paisley.

Brittany graduated from Olds College in 2017. After completing her practicum at Moore Equine she began working with Dr Cook. For 4 years as a team they divided their time between attending to ambulatory appointments and providing veterinary care to the Standardbreds at the nearby racetrack. To pursue her personal goal and a better understanding of equine medicine, Brittany made the change to an in clinic position to complete the requirements needed to become specialized as a VTS in Equine Veterinary Nursing, which she completed in 2021. Now you can find her in clinic majority of the time either in surgery, running anesthesia or taking care of our in hospital patients.
