This two-day highly practical course covers the theory and practical skills of performing ultrasound-guided orthopaedic injections and ultrasound-assisted minimally-invasive surgery covering all regions of the musculoskeletal apparatus of the horse. Bringing together internationally renowned orthopaedic specialists with a strong interest in this field, this course also provides a critical overview of conventional and biologic treatment modalities for orthopaedic conditions. This course is suitable for veterinarians from mixed or equine practice who have experience with ultrasonography. Between both afternoons, 7 hours of practical sessions will give attendees plenty of opportunity to train the different injection techniques on horses and specimens and to get tips and tricks in small groups (2 – 4 attendees per ultrasound machine), under the supervision of the specialists. Each attendee will rotate through the following practical stations: Tendon & ligament injections; Stifle, Hip & Shoulder Joint injections; Cervical facet joint injections; Injections of the Back; Lumbosacral & Sacroiliac injections; Injections of Bursae & Ultrasound-assisted Surgery.
